What we do: Robson Collection hui
The second annual Robson Collection hui was held on the 30th of November 2011.
The principal speaker was Dr Trevor Bradley, lecturer in the School of Social and Cultural
Studies, Victoria University of Wellington. His research interests include crime prevention,
crime reduction and community safety; plural policing and private security / private
policing; youth justice and the politics of crime and "law and order." The title of Dr Bradley's talk
was Crime in the Neighbourhood: Measuring Local Perceptions of Crime (this
included a Hawke's Bay focus).
Also speaking at the hui was St Johns School Principal, Neill Swindells who spoke
on community development and pastoral care based on his own extensive experience in
the school / church sector. His talk was titled, Investing in Our Youth, Challenges in Education.
